General Rules for Dolly Street

Purpose:
The purpose of this board is to be a place where fans of different kinds of customizable dolls can come together and enjoy their dolls with each other. Customizable dolls include dolls where it is easily possible for the average collector to change features like the eyes and the wig without needing special tools. An example would be Volks Dollfie.

Other kinds of dolls, such as fashion dolls, though not the main focus of the board, are welcome as well, and should be discussed in the "The Park -Miscellaneous Dolls" section.

The most important rule

First and foremost, do not insult or flame another member, their dolls, or their work. This includes but is not limited to:
A) Personal attacks, even as a response to an attack initiated by another.
B) Critique that uses hate to convey it's message, rather than tact.
C) Using critique as a means to convey a vendetta against another.

For the first offense, members will be warned. For the second offense, members will be banned for two weeks. For the third offense, members will be permanently banned.

Going Off Topic
Threads made solely to discuss off-topic subjects will either be moved (if the post is in the wrong section) or deleted (if the post is inappropriate for the board). A thread that flows from a discussion of a doll related topic to off topic discussion is acceptable, however.

Controversy
In a hobby with such a size and diversity as this one, it is inevitable that controversy about different viewpoints will spring up. On Dolly Street, the "Controversial Discussion" board is meant to accomidate this. Those in disagreements should be able to argue with tact, without stooping to personal attacks.

While controversial discussion is allowed, no highly controversial *images* are allowed to be posted anywhere on the forum. This includes but is not limited to: Pornography, nazis, religious and political statements, illegal drugs, and gore. If it offends a good number of people, suffice to say it is controversial.

Those posting any images for "shock value" will be banned without a warning.

Critique:
Please be aware that when you ask for critique of your work, you may receive negative critique. While Dolly Street will work to remove posts of a hateful nature, no move will ever be made to delete honest criticisms meant to a person grow as an artist. If you cannot accept this, you should not post your work for evaluation. If a person posts their work for critique, and cannot accept criticism, they will be asked to remove themselves from the critique forums until such time that they have the ability to accept negative critique as well as positive . If they do not comply, they will be banned.

For those giving critique, please keep in mind "The most important rule" of Dolly Street.

Avatars and Signatures:
Avatars should be no larger than 100X100 pixels, and signatures may include one picture of small size, both visually and in kb size. Anything controversial or hateful is not allowed. Advertisements are acceptable.

What this board is, and what this board is not:
Dolly Street is a place to have fun with your dolls in the lots of different ways that people can. It is also a place to encourage what is generally considered healthy social behavior between members. In general, interaction between people is preferred over interaction between people and dolls.

It is NOT a place to be able to post hurtful and spiteful messages, and it is NOT a place for a social hiearchy based around a hobby. It is also a discussion board for *dolls only*. If you're finding that this board isn't meeting your wants in this regard, you can always PM a mod with your concerns, but you may want to check these already established places:
